Weston: Originally established in 1818 as Preston. Name changed to Flesherville in 1819, and to Weston later in the same year. Origin of latter name unknown. County seat first established at Westfield (unincorporated), five miles north of Weston. Incorporated in 1913 by an Act of the Legislature.
